China Typhoon Landfall Catalogue
A new catalogue of typhoons making landfall in China based on the CMA best track data. Parametric insurance relevant variables have been derived using the methodology described in the documentation. The catalogue contains the following variables at landfall: Storm name, Landfall date, Location, Maximum wind speed (Vmax) in m/s, Minimum pressure (Pmin) in hPa, Radius or maximum winds (Rmax), in km, Radius of gale force winds (R18) in km, radius of 26 m/s winds (R26) in km, radius of 33 m/s winds (R33) in km, Integrated Kinetic Energy (IKE) in Jx10^12, Storm Precipitation Volume Rate within 500 km (P¬vol) in m^3/hr x 10^8.
