n general parlance of climatology is understood by temperature of the measurable degree of heat of the air. In our environment, there are other components whose temperatures are also important, such as those of water or the soil. The temperature of the air is further influenced by the water vapor content, the wind , the radiation, the absolute humidity and the radiation of the surrounding surfaces like walls, rocks or the soil.
The measurement of the air temperature, the radiation protection and the mathematical evaluation of the measured values are explained in more detail in the general part of this chapter. Partial aspects are the relationship of air temperature and current climate change in the course of the 20th century and the dependence of the spatial distribution of the temperatures of the altitude, terrain, inner Alpine country and the latitude.
