GeoBolivia

GeoBolivia is an initiative of the Vice Presidency of the Plurinational State , through which it is intended to provide institutions and users in general with geographic information of interest, regardless of the device with which it is accessed; That is, to have relevant, harmonized and quality geographic information to support the social, economic and environmental development of the country.

Funded initially by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and supporting its environment in the initiative of the Vice Presidency of the Plurinational State, GeoBolivia is itself the initiator of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of the Plurinational State of Bolivia ( IDE-EPB) a network of institutions that seeks to share, easily and free, information linked to the national territory and coming from different sources for different purposes.

Based on the above, GeoBolivia has the responsibility of working with the institutions in order to generate spaces of consensus that guarantee interoperability and facilitate access to geographic information. Therefore, the contribution of public, private and public institutions is essential. Professionals involved in the subject, for the strengthening and enrichment of the same.
