Fathom (formerly SSBN)

Fathom (formerly SSBN) are world leaders in the field of flood modelling. Formed out of the University of Bristol Hydrology Research Group, Fathom's research has pioneered numerous methods that have become industry standard, resulting in its recognition as a world leading research centre for the modelling of flood risk using computer software. Fathom co-founder, Prof. Paul Bates, was awarded the Science of Risk Prize by the Lloyd's of London insurance market in 2012.
