CPC Unified Global Guage Daily Precipitation ...

The unified global gauge daily precipitation analysis is part of the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) Unified Precipitation Products Suite. The daily gauge analysis is created on a 0.5 resolution grid over the global land by interpolating gauge observations from approximately 30,000 stations.

The primary parameters are daily precipitation amounts expressed in mm/day. These data are prduced with input guage station data from Global Telecommunications System (GTS), data sets from River Forecast Centers (RFC), National Climatic Data Center (NCDC), as well as collections from international meteorological agencies in Mexico, South America and Australia.
