Europe - Hail Falls Database - Ubyrisk Consultants

Hail fall database> 1 cm in diameter by town in Europe since 1900.

This database was created from historical research, meteorological data and the detections carried out by our Hail Warning Europe tool for the hail falls since 2000. These one are based on the analysis, using a specially developed algorithm internally, of a high resolution radar image crossed with the use of an atmospheric model simulating the conditions of the low layers (temperatures, humidity ... ) in order to characterize the diameter of the hailstones on the ground.

This database, the most exhaustive in the field, references more than 132,000 hail falls > or equal to 1 cm in diameter. It is updated yearly.
