Finland - Historical Flood Plains - Finnish Environment Institute

Historical from 1899 until 2012 Known flooded areas is a particular actual flood water-covered area that is limited (mark the affected area or edge recording) field observations or remote sensing data (aerial photography (still images / video recordings) or satellite pictures) based. The interpreted flood limit can be measured later of the flood Water levels. Satellite imagery can be produced in almost real time observed in the flooded areas. Observed flood plains is available in the entire Finnish comprehensive annual data set. Each year, therefore, is its own map levels - in principle stored in the same area just one flooded area per year. The spatial data includes the detected / decoded the crop area (e.g. area enclosed by the aerial image).
