Previsico is a flood forecasting and warning company which spun out of Loughborough University in 2019 following twenty years of research and development led by Professor Yu. Our mission is to minimise the impact of flooding globally by delivering the absolute best flood forecasting technology to those who need it. With a special focus on the insurance industry we significantly reduce the cost of flooding for people and organisations globally by supporting proactive measures to reduce flood impacts. Previsico offers property level flood warnings, tailored to the needs of a range of global customers. Previsico helps insurers reduce their losses and risk by his enabling resilience measures to be taken including the erection of flood defences and the removal of valuables to a safe area. Other applications of the technology include support for real-time pricing, claims operations and triage, and automated underwriting.
