Norway - Rock Fall Hazard Map - The Norwegian water resources and energy directorate (NVE)

NVE conducts hazard zone mapping of landslides in steep terrain for selected areas of priority for mapping cf Plan for landslide hazard mapping ( NVE report 14/2011 ). Mapping covers the types of snow slides, southern slopes, rock jumps, landslides and flooding.

Plan for hazardous mapping provides the basis for the prioritization of hazard mapping for various types of landslides. NVE's mapping is aimed primarily at existing buildings. Therefore, in identifying and prioritizing areas, emphasis is placed on where people live and live in potentially hazardous areas.
