Bolivia - Municipality of Charaña Hail Hazard Map, 2012 - GeoBolivia

The map shows the degree of threat by hailstorms in the Municipality of Charaña, a form of precipitation composed of ice particles generally spheroidal or irregularly shaped, which fall from the clouds mainly in sizes ranging from 5 to 50 mm in diameter. When considering a mechanism of violent precipitation for agricultural production, the degree of threat is identified in three categories: Very High, High and Medium. Prepared by the Program of Promotion of Sustainability and Shared Knowledge - PROSUCO with intervention of the PRRD III Disaster and Risk Reduction Program component 2, in the year 2012.
